When You Can No Longer Keep Your Angel
We understand that sometimes life brings circumstances beyond our control. Making the decision to seek help for your dog is never easy, and it often comes from a place of love and wanting the best for them.
At Animal Angels Network, we are here to help guide dogs safely into their next chapter, with care, dignity, and compassion for both the dog and their guardian.
Our goal is to ensure every angel transitions safely, responsibly, and into a stable, loving home.
Our Responsible Placement Pathway
We do not believe in casual surrender. Instead, we work through a thoughtful, structured placement process designed to protect your dog’s safety, emotional well-being, and future stability.
Whenever possible, dogs remain in their current home while we assist in finding the right placement. This reduces stress and helps ensure successful, lasting matches.
Our team will guide you through each step with care and transparency.
No Surrender Fee
Animal Angels Network does not charge a surrender or intake fee.
We believe that financial barriers should never prevent a dog from receiving help when it is needed.
Veterinary Care Requirements
To safely transition into foster or adoptive care, dogs must be current on basic veterinary care. This helps protect their health and ensures they are ready for their next home.
This may include:
Core vaccinations
Rabies vaccination (when legally required)
Spay or neuter status disclosure
Parasite prevention or treatment
Disclosure of any known medical conditions
In most cases, the current guardian is responsible for veterinary costs needed to meet these minimum standards. Payments are made directly to your veterinarian, not to Animal Angels Network.
This allows our rescue resources to remain available for dogs facing abandonment, cruelty, medical emergencies, and other urgent situations.
Compassion in Times of Crisis
We recognize that emergencies and hardship situations occur.
In cases involving urgent safety concerns, housing loss, medical emergencies, or similar crises, Animal Angels Network may assist at our discretion.
Every situation is evaluated individually, with the dog’s safety as our highest priority.
Our Shared Responsibility
Placement is a collaborative process. We ask guardians to:
Provide honest and complete information
Communicate openly with our team
Allow time for safe and responsible placement
Continue providing care while placement is arranged
Our goal is always to ensure your dog moves forward safely, without unnecessary stress or risk.
Our Promise to Every Animal Angel
We exist to protect the most vulnerable dogs in our community. Our resources are funded entirely through donations and are carefully directed toward dogs with no safety net.
By following our placement standards, you help us ensure your dog’s transition is safe, ethical, and lasting.
Seeking help is not a failure. It is an act of love.
Placement Acknowledgment
By requesting placement assistance, you acknowledge and understand that:
Placement is not guaranteed, but we will make every reasonable effort to help your dog safely transition to the right home
Basic veterinary care requirements must be met to ensure your dog’s safety and readiness for placement
Final decisions regarding placement, timing, and level of support are made at the discretion of Animal Angels Network
Our priority is always the long-term safety, stability, and well-being of every Animal Angel entrusted to us
We are committed to treating every dog and guardian with compassion, honesty, and respect throughout this process.
